The NAMBU Tetsubin is a direct flame Japanese cast iron teapot that can be used to boil water over direct flame or electric stovetop.
Unlike its cast-iron clones, this Tetsubin does not contain an enamel coating on the inside.
Instead, a naked iron kettle mineralizes and softens the water you boil in it, which makes for a noticeably richer, sweeter brew with less bitterness, greater depth, and smoother character.
The NAMBU Tetsubin is a genuine handmade kettle forged in the Morioka Tohoku region in Northern Japan. This unique kettle is adorned with a "Cherry Blossom" motif making it uniquely beautiful.
With the correct care, this authentic Japanese cast-iron kettle will last many generations of family tea lovers to come.
