The true excellence of this matcha comes from its velvety, silky texture as it passes over the tongue. It is a full bodied and well rounded green tea with no bitterness. Because of its supreme quality, this matcha can also be used for Koicha which is a thick paste made from only the highest grade of matcha
Using traditional farming methods and without the use of pesticides the tea leaves are sourced from ground Tencha grown on an organic farm in Uji Japan. The farm uses natural predators to remove any insects which would eat the leaf such as Praying Mantis, ladybugs and spiders.
This ceremonial grade matcha comes from the Okumidori cultivar. This Uji grown cultivar is carefully selected for its well rounded and naturally sweet umami taste
One serve of matcha (1g) contains between 36 & 40mg of caffeine.
