Our ceremonial grade organic Matcha green tea from Japan is made only from the very selected first-harvested tea, called shincha, which comes from the first buds of the year, and has the very mild, almost sweet-like taste. For this reason, this grade is suitable for such occasions as the tea ceremony and the special invitation. 

All of our Matcha powder is sourced 3 prominent tea regions in Japan, Uji, Shizuoka and Kagoshima. Each of these regions are synonymous with the highest grade of matcha green tea powder in Japan. Each region features hilly terrain, high-quality soil, mild temperature, and prevalent mist all contribute to what many call the most excellent matcha tea in the world.

Purematcha teas are freshly packed directly from the farm. We only order in small batches at a time, which means our matcha is the freshest ceremonial matcha in Australia that you'll find.

All our teas have a 12-month expiry from the package date which is stamped on each pouch.
