Today I’m going to show you how to make a flu-busting super smoothie of mine that is loaded with ingredients to supercharge your immune system and give it a fighting chance this flu season.

This tropical matcha smoothie is very refreshing and balanced nicely with citrus and sweet fruits that make it the perfect summer drink. In all honesty, it’s packed with so much goodness that I recommend drinking it as a pre-workout smoothie or even as a daily refresher to keep your immune system in check.

Tropical matcha super smoothie

Ingredients

  • 200ml of coconut water (I used peach & mango flavoured coconut water, but you can use plain coconut water and add 1 tbls of honey as a sweetener)
  • 1 Lime sliced into 4 pieces
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 cup of baby spinach leaves
  • 1 cup of mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup of pineapple pieces and syrup
  • 2 scoops of Organic Matcha Powder
  • 1 cup of ice

Directions

1. Add 1 cup of ice into a blender.

2. Add coconut water, mint, baby spinach, pineapple pieces, banana into the blender.

3. Squeeze lime pieces into the blender.

4. Add 2 scoops of Matcha powder into the mix.

5. Blend for 15 seconds and serve.
