Summer Sippers - Purematcha Ice Tea Favourites

This matcha lime soda is an absolute crowd pleaser. The tang of the lime and rich matcha umami makes this iced tea one of our all time favourites.
Ingredients
1/2 Lime
2-3 Mint leaves
Soda water
20ml maple syrup
2g of matcha powder
1/4 cup of ice
Method
STEP 1
Sift 2g of matcha powder into a pitcher add 30ml of hot water (70°C) to the pitcher and whisk until frothy. Set aside.
STEP 2
Add 1/4 cup of ice to a mason jar, add 20ml maple syrup and squeeze 1/2 lime to the jar
STEP 3
Add 200 ml soda water to the jar
STEP 4
Add 30ml of the whisked matcha tea to the jar.

2g hojicha powder
1/4 cup of ice
maple syrup
Milk
20ml maple syrup

STEP 1
Sift 2g of hojicha powder into a pitcher add 30ml of hot water (90°C) to the pitcher and whisk until frothy. Set aside.
STEP 2
Add 1/4 cup of ice to a mason jar, add 20ml maple syrup to the jar
STEP 3
Pour milk into glass with ice and maple syrup
STEP 4
Add 30ml of the whisked hojicha tea to the jar.

15g sencha tea leaves
1/4 cup of ice
Slice of lemon
Mint leaves
Method
STEP 1
Add 10g of Sencha tea leaves to a 750ml glass bottle like the Hario Filter in Bottle.
STEP 2
Fill bottle containing tea leaves with 750ml of filtered water and set aside in fridge. Let it brew in the fridge for at least 4-6 hours.
STEP 3
After brewing, fill glass cup with ice and add 2 thin slices of lemon.
STEP 4
Pour brewed sencha into the cup with ice and lemon. Garnish with mint leaves.

3g genmaicha matcha powder
10ml maple syrup or 1 teaspoon of sugar
140ml of milk
1/4 glass of ice
Method
STEP 1
Add 3g of Genmaicha matcha powder to a pitcher
STEP 2
Add 50ml of water to the pitcher with powder and whisk until frothy.
STEP 3
Fill glass with ice and add 10ml of maple syrup or your choice of sweetener.
STEP 4
Add 140ml of milk to the glass with ice and pour genmaicha matcha mix to the glass. Stir and serve.
