The TAKAYAMA masters matcha set is curated for matcha connoisseurs who seek genuine matcha tools that are made in Japan. The matcha whisk (CHASEN) and bamboo scoop (CHASHAKU) are handmade in Takayama Japan by bamboo whisk master Kizo Nakata. Both of these items are extremely rare to acquire outside of Japan.
Also included is the KOHIKI Chawan which is a medium-size matcha bowl that is hand-crafted using iron-rich clay by Mino potters in Japan. The inner and outer surface of the bowl is covered with a white slip and then sealed with a translucent glaze.
