Made in JAPAN, the ASANOHA CHAWAN Matcha Bowl is beautifully hand-crafted with a striking traditional Japanese pattern called Asanoha.
The wide and shallow design gives you plenty of space for whisking, which creates a smooth texture and releases as much flavour as possible.
Adorned with a traditional Japanese pattern representing hemp leaves. Hemp has strong vitality and grows vigorously without the need for a lot of care, so this pattern was often used on babies and children’s kimonos with the hope that they would grow up big and strong.
This chawan is made in the traditional style with an artistic glaze, but it's also a completely modern teacup that is safe to use in the microwave and dishwasher.
