Green Tea Matcha Latte Recipe
You don't need to visit a cafe to enjoy a matcha latte when you can make one yourself at home. This vegan green tea matcha latte is simple to make, naturally sweetened with maple syrup and full of antioxidants.
A culinary grade matcha like KOZAN-JI works beautifully here. Its stronger, more robust flavour holds its own against steamed soy milk for a rich, warming drink.

Recipe questions
Can I use a different milk?
Yes. Soy milk froths well and keeps the latte vegan, but oat, almond or full cream dairy milk all work. Oat milk is the closest match for creaminess.
What grade of matcha should I use for lattes?
A culinary grade like KOZAN-JI is ideal for lattes because its stronger flavour cuts through milk. Ceremonial grades work too but their delicate notes can get lost.
Can I make this iced?
Absolutely. Whisk the matcha with hot water as directed, then pour it over a glass of ice and cold milk instead of steamed milk.
